Sony today joins many in a virtual reality. They have opened the doors on a project that they have been calling Playstation Home.
Sony has been working on their virtual world since they announced it over 2 years ago. During that time, there was a large push to create and exists in virtual worlds. For sure the Sims have made money from the whole concept.
People with play stations will be able to create a virtual avatar in the playstation home and interact with other ps owners in a virtual world.
Microsoft stated that they are not going to follow lead with their xbox 360s. Microsoft believes the virtual world boom is now on the decline.
Only time will tell as ps3 owners will be given the go ahead to join the world today, December 11, 2008. Sony is interested to see what happens within the next few days. Each person will be able to create their own space in the playstation home.
